Project Initiation Phase

The Project Initiation Phase is the first Project Phase and represents conceptualization of the project. The purpose of this phase is to specify what the project will accomplish. This stage primarily deals with requirements gathering and scope definition activity. This activity comprises of understanding all those aspects that will form the basis of identifying the correct specifications of the required solution.

Project Planning Phase

In this stage of the process, a detailed project plan is prepared to serve as a detailed roadmap for achieving project success. This plan will provide major project milestones, timelines, and network topology and highlight dependencies, constraints and sequence of tasks that are required to achieve a successful implementation.

Project Execution Phase

The Project Execution Phase is the third phase in the project life cycle. This stage of process is responsible of actual implementation / execution that were decided in the first two stages. This stage will involve implementation of various tasks which shall be identified from the project plan.

The Project Execution Phase is usually the longest phase in the project life cycle and it typically consumes the most energy and the most resources. To be able to monitor and control the project during this phase. These processes help client to manage time, cost, quality, change, risks and issues. They also help you to manage procurement, customer acceptance and communications.

Project Monitor and Control Phase

Project control is that element of a project that keeps it on-track, on-time, and within budget. Project control phase actually begins early in the project with planning and ends late in the project with post-implementation review, having a thorough involvement of each step in the process.

Project Closure Phase

Project Closure Phase is the last phase of the Project Life Cycle. The commencement of the Project Closure Phase is determined by the completion of all Project Objectives and acceptance of the end product by the customer.

Project Implementation Strategy Details

The project is initiated by creating a Software Requirement Specification (SRS), this document provides detailed explanation of the SOW. Explains the required features with required output. Along with this document we also start work on the Software Workflow Document (SWD). In this document we create the complete wireframe of the software application, starting from first page till last one. These application pages have all the pages and buttons with required text/graphics on them. This gives the pretty good idea to our customers about what is required to be made and what we are making. SWD is completed earlier than the SRS document and shared with client for its feedback. Now all the feedback is then integrated in the SWD and again shared with customer for review. This exercise might repeat for 2 to 3 times but once its is finalized we and our customer is on one page on the of software requirement.

Once the SWD is approved and agreed the software development process kicks off. The design resource starts the application designing. Initially the main application page with one additional page is designed and shared with client for design approval. Based on clients input the designer incorporate clients suggestions gets it approved from the client.

After the design part is all approved and all the application pages design is completed, the application formally moves into the coding part. The frontend developer starts the frontend development. This frontend team completes the application complete frontend work in parallel to the approval/agreement of the SRS document.

Based on the approval final changes are then incorporated in the SRS document and then shared with clients for any further feedback as this document incumbents the SWD and the written details with all the functionality required in the software being developed. SRS approvals normally doesn’t take much cycles to be agreed upon as the SWD document approval is a great help here in understanding customer requirement and teams both customer and our are already aligned on the requirements.

Once the understanding is all done based on the above 2 documents, the backend development team is engaged on the project. The size of the team totally depends on the requirements/scope of the project. As per the recommendation of the project manager the team is assigned. Tasks are divided between the team with help of project team lead. If required the solution architect is also engaged on the project normally in case of large size projects.
